We are wired to justify ourselves. The human brain is formatted in this way. Some people use the Bible to justify alcoholism (John 2:1-11, 1Tim.5:23). Some people use the Bible to justify their polygamy (1 Kings 11:3). Some people use the Bible to justify slavery (Eph.6:5). The modern day Israel is using the Bible to justify genocide. But God justifies (Rom.8:33). May God justify us in the name of Jesus.
